Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and applicable provincial laws.

2. Personal Information Collection

We only collect personal information reasonably necessary for identified purposes with meaningful informed consent. Under BC PIPA, explicit consent is required before collection, use, or disclosure of personal information.

3. Use and Disclosure

Your personal information is used solely for the purposes identified at collection. Disclosure to third parties occurs only with consent, for legal reasons, or to trusted service providers compliant with privacy laws and PIPA's stricter requirements regarding reasonable purposes and explicit consent.

4. Consent and Transparency

We obtain your informed consent before collecting or using your personal information, and our privacy practices are transparent. BC PIPA mandates clear policies and procedures along with designated privacy officers responsible for compliance.

5. Access and Correction Rights

You have rights to access and request corrections to your personal data. BC PIPA requires organizations to respond to such requests within 30 days. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal exceptions.

6. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information only as long as necessary and dispose of it securely. Reasonable security measures are in place to protect against unauthorized access or loss, consistent with PIPA's and PIPEDA's standards. We generally don't retain anyone's data when you are on this site because we are a startup who is deeply focused on the vision.

7. Data Subject Rights and Complaints

Under BC PIPA and PIPEDA, you may file complaints with our Privacy Officer or the relevant Information and Privacy Commissioner if you believe your rights have been infringed.

8. Liability and Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach, we will act promptly to contain it and notify affected individuals and authorities as required by applicable laws, including BC PIPA. Liability is limited to what is permitted by Canadian laws.
